HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man has died after being intentionally struck by a truck on the city’s north side, according to the Houston Police Department.
The incident occurred on Tuesday around 4:45 a.m. when officers responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a pickup truck at W. Gulf Bank Road and Veterans Memorial Drive. SkyEye captured footage of HPD officers investigating the active scene.
Police reported that the 33-year-old victim was found unresponsive with severe trauma, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators revealed that the victim and the suspect had an altercation in the parking lot of an abandoned business, which escalated. The suspect then got into a 2003 gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and intentionally struck the victim as he stood in the parking lot.
Authorities released a surveillance image of the truck, which has a Texas license plate TDY9548.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 50s, wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts.
