HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A teenage girl has died after being found unresponsive in a community pool in west Harris County, according to the sheriff.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that units responded to a possible drowning at 3705 Green Crest Drive, near Westpark Drive, in the Clayton neighborhood at 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday. This location is associated with the Clayton Homeowners’ Association clubhouse.
The girl, believed to be 15 years old, was initially hospitalized in critical condition. However, by around 9 p.m., Sheriff Gonzalez updated that the teen had been pronounced dead.
Deputies have not yet confirmed whether the incident was accidental.
