Pct. 4 deputies were called to the neighborhood for a shooting and found two teenage boys, 15 and 17 years old, inside a residence with gunshot wounds to their heads.
They were both taken to local hospitals. Sheriff investigators say the 17-year-old boy was on life support, while the 15-year-old boy is in critical condition at a different hospital. Authorities believe the 17-year-old’s family is in the process of donating his organs.
Court records show the 15-year-old’s mother moved to the home a year ago with her teenage daughter and son after a divorce. Neighbors didn’t know much about the family but said they were shocked by the shooting.
The mother and daughter told investigators the two teens were in a room listening to music when the gunshots went off.
The family members said they did not hear any disturbance or fighting before the gunshots.

“It appeared that the 17-year-old shot the 15-year-old and then turned the gun on himself,” Pinkins said.
Family members said the 17-year-old is a friend of the 15-year-old and had been staying at their residence on and off for an extended period of time.
Investigators are looking into how the teens got hold of the gun in the first place.
