Two bodies were recovered Sunday and a man remains missing after a boat overturned in Lake Lavon, authorities said.
The Collin County Sheriff’s Department said a strong storm caused the boat to overturn about 8:45 p.m. Saturday near Brockdale Park. Four men were aboard the boat, and one was able to hold on to a tree and call for help, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
One body was pulled from the water early Sunday and another was recovered in the evening. The sheriff’s office said the men are presumed to have drowned.
Authorities postponed the search for the missing man Sunday night because of weather, the sheriff’s office said.
None of the men have been named, and no additional information was immediately available.
