HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A storm system approaching from the southwest will bring us some much needed rain on Tuesday. The rain won’t be heavy enough for flooding but the roads will be wet and slick for the morning rush.
When will we have rain chances?
The first chance of rain returns Tuesday morning with rain chances climbing to 60%. This passing weather disturbance will bring most of its rain during the morning with the highest accumulations in our coastal counties. Our next best opportunity for rain comes next weekend when a large upper-level low slowly passes by Texas. The timing of that disturbance and its highest thunderstorm chance is still uncertain, so keep tabs on our forecast through the week if you have outdoor plans for Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
When does the time change occur?
That occurs in the early morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 6. After that happens, expect the sun to rise a little after 6:30 a.m. and set right around 5:30 p.m.
What’s happening in the tropics?
The National Hurricane Center predicts a hurricane named Lisa will be cruising through the Caribbean later this week. For the very latest, check out our daily tropical update.
