At least two Indian soldiers were killed, and three others injured when an army vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near the Wular Viewpoint in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Dr. Masarat Iqbal Wani, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Bandipora, stated, “Five injured were brought here, two were brought dead, and three critical injured have been referred to Srinagar for further treatment.”
The tragic accident follows another mishap along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, where five soldiers were killed and five others critically injured after a convoy vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a nullah. Officials have ruled out any terrorist involvement in both incidents.
