LAHORE: Another 121 connections were cut off by teams from Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd., and gas thieves were fined Rs3.5 million.
The SNGPL team disconnected 15 connections in Lahore for illegal gas use and one connection for using a compressor, resulting in a Rs0.59 million fine.
Four illegal connections were severed in Gujranwala, resulting in Rs0.06 million in fines. Three illegal connections were disconnected in Faisalabad, and a fine of Rs0.03 million was imposed. The Sheikhupura group detached one association and collected a fine of Rs1.04m.
18 illegal connections were cut off in Multan, and five more were cut off for compressor use.
In Sahiwal, one illegal connection and two cases involving compressors were addressed, whereas in Bahawalpur, ten cases involving compressors were identified and the gas supply was cut off.
