Dubai, UAE β An expatriate Pakistani, Tahir Amin, has become the focus of widespread discussion across Emirati media and social networks after demonstrating an extraordinary act of courage and loyalty on one of Dubai’s busiest highways, putting his own life at risk.
Tahir Amin showed immense bravery when he spotted the UAE flag fallen on the high-speed Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. Despite vehicles speeding at 140 km/h, Amin disregarded the extreme danger, rushed into the middle of the road, retrieved the flag, and kissed it with profound respect and reverence.
The heartwarming scene quickly went viral on social media, with Emirati users extensively praising Aminβs emotional gesture, many commenting that such a deep sense of respect could only come from a Pakistani national. The incident highlights the deep human and fraternal ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking to ‘Geo News,’ Tahir Amin shared his journey, stating, “I came to Dubai 18 years ago, started working as a cleaner, and am now performing my duties as a manager.” He emotionally explained that Dubai has given him so much, and therefore, as a Pakistani, it is his responsibility to show full respect for the country and its flag. Amin’s act not only reflects his gratitude towards Dubai but also confirms the high regard the Pakistani community holds for their host nation.
